Fundraising

Since 2017, I’ve raised over $48,000 for FORCE (Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered), a national nonprofit supporting families facing hereditary cancer. My efforts honor my mother, Emily Miller, who passed away from ovarian cancer in 2005. I inherited my mom’s BRCA2 mutation, and with FORCE’s support, I made informed and empowered decisions about my health, likely saving my life. Since 2016, I’ve volunteered as a Peer Support Group Leader and a Peer Navigator, counseling women nationwide on similar journeys. When I swim, I draw strength from people, like my mom, and hope to inspire others to face their own challenges like I did.
